Child Safety Standards

AI & Sync is an adults-only service. Nobody under 18 may create a profile or attend an event. This page sets out how we prevent, detect and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and how to reach us about it.

Published to meet Google Play's child safety standards requirements for social and dating apps, and Apple's App Review Guideline 1.2.

1. Age restriction

  • 18+ only. We ask for your date of birth before you can build a profile, and anyone under 18 is refused.
  • The refusal is enforced on our servers, not only in the app, both when a date of birth is saved and again when you join an event. A modified app cannot bypass it.
  • We do not perform document-based age verification.
  • Events are real-world gatherings. Hosts are responsible for age checks at the door, in addition to ours.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

Banned outright, and grounds for immediate and permanent removal:

  • any sexual content involving a minor, in any form;
  • sexualised depictions of minors — drawn, generated or photographic;
  • any attempt by an adult to contact, groom or solicit a minor;
  • misrepresenting your age to gain access to the service;
  • sharing images of children in a sexual context, including your own.

There is no warning and no second chance for any of the above.

3. How we detect it

Automated screening of text. Every piece of profile text — biography, prompts, notes — is checked before other users can see it. Text classified as sexual material involving a minor is refused outright, not queued for a judgement call. Contact details are stripped automatically, which closes the most common route by which a conversation moves somewhere unmonitored.

Automated screening of photographs. Every uploaded photograph and event selfie is submitted to a classifier before publication. Material scoring above our threshold for sexual content involving a minor is refused; borderline material is held for human review.

Human review. Anything the automated checks cannot decide goes to a moderation queue worked by our team. Content the classifier could not assess is treated as undecided and reviewed by a person — not as clean.

Selfie verification. Joining an event requires a live selfie taken in the app at that moment, from the front camera, with no gallery upload. This makes it materially harder to attend using someone else's photographs.

Reports. Any user can report any profile from within the app.

What we do not do: we do not currently perform hash-matching against databases of known child sexual abuse material. Neither store requires it and we do not claim it.

4. Reporting

In the mobile app: every profile has a Report action. Choose Underage and the report is escalated ahead of all other categories. Reporting is a feature of the mobile app only — there is no reporting flow on the website, so use the email route below if you do not have the app.

By email: safety@aiandsync.com

You do not need an account to report. Include anything that identifies the profile — a name, a photograph, an event.

5. How we respond

  • Reports of suspected minors are the highest priority and are reviewed ahead of everything else in the queue.
  • We aim to action every report within 24 hours.
  • Confirmed cases: the account is removed permanently, the content is deleted, and the person is banned from the platform.
  • We report confirmed child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities in the jurisdictions where we operate, and preserve the evidence needed to support an investigation.
  • We do not tell a reported user who reported them.

6. Point of contact

We designate a named child safety contact, reachable at:

safety@aiandsync.com

Law enforcement requests, regulator enquiries and store-provider escalations should be sent to the same address and will be routed to that contact.

7. Review

These standards are reviewed at least annually, and whenever the service changes in a way that affects them. The date at the top of this page reflects the last review.
